Preliminary Response

In the second round of public consultation, the stakeholders expressed their views that the proposed scheme should be under the premise of avoiding large scale land resumption, minimizing impact to the environment, improving road safety and consideration of cost effectiveness. In view of these, we reviewed all options in respect of whether they can provide sufficient traffic flow capacity, impact on land resumption, environmental impact, traffic noise, air quality, tree preservation, waste management, construction programme, construction cost and project complexity. We will continue to enhance the proposed scheme.
